On Sunday, authorities announced that a 40-year-old suspect who fatally shot four people in a neighborhood in Georgia, has been killed by law enforcement officers.
Authorities had been extensively looking for Andre L. Longmore, who was said to be armed and dangerous, when he was found and killed by officers. Two officers were injured as a shootout occurred.
On Saturday, close to 10:45 a.m., Longmore is said to have killed the four individuals, in different areas, at the Dogwood Lakes subdivision in the city of Hampton. All of the victims were adults, but a motive for the killings is unknown.
One witness noted that he saw Longmore shoot his neighbor as he was pulling out of his driveway. Afterwards, the suspect is said to have made sure that the shot was fatal prior to leaving the scene on foot.
Another neighbor added that the shootings seemed to be random.
It took several law enforcement agencies to finally find Longmore after four murder warrants were issued for him.
