Man Shot In Whataburger Parking Lot During Robbery

A man was shot in the neck early Sunday morning during a robbery outside of a Dallas Whataburger.
According to officers the shooting took place on the 8800 block of N. Stemmons Fwy in the parking lot of the Whataburger.
The victim pulled into the restaurant and went behind a dumpster to use the restroom when he was approached by two black males demanding money and other property.
One of the suspects then pulled out a gun and pointed at the victim. The two men began to argue and both suspects ran from the scene.
The victim chased after the suspects who began firing a gun at the man and shooting him in the neck.
Witnesses transported the man to a nearby hospital with his condition unknown.
This investigation is ongoing.
