The Grapevine Police Department is investigating a shooting that resulted in one man being hospitalized.
On Monday, February 19, 2024, at about 8 p.m., Grapevine Police arrived to the 1300 block of Texan Trail, close to SH-114. Officers then found a 20-year-old man in the driver’s seat of a vehicle with a gunshot wound to the hip.
Officers quickly started performing life-saving measures until the paramedics arrived. The man was taken to a medical facility where he was treated for non-life wounds. He disclosed to detectives that he was driving southbound on Texan Trail when another vehicle pulled alongside him, and someone started shooting as they continued to drive down the road.
After talking to the victim and other acquaintances at the medical facility, it seems as though the assailant may be known to the victim and that the shooting was targeted.
An investigation is continuing as others are still be questioned.
