Man Sentenced To Life After Fatally Lacing Wife’s Cereal With Heroin

Jason Harris has been sentenced to life in prison just two weeks after being convicted of killing his wife with a fatal dose of heroin in her cereal.

At their home in Davison, Michigan – Harris prepared a bowl of cereal laced with heroin and served it to his wife, Christina. When she became under the influence, he helped her to bed where they both went to sleep. The next morning, Harris told police his wife was still sleeping when he left work. When she didn’t answer her phone he called a neighbor to go and check on his wife. The neighbor found Christina cold to the touch and unresponsive. She was later declared deceased. Harris collected $120,000 in life insurance soon after.

He was convicted of first-degree murder, solicitation of murder and delivery of a controlled substance causing death.
