Thong Pham stabbed a Wylie homeowner and his dog.
Now, Pham has been found guilty by a jury of burglary of a habitation with the intent to commit another felony. He was given 99 years in prison.
In March, Pham is said to have broken into a home in Wylie. When the victim heard his dog barking, he got out of bed and went to see what was going on. That’s when he noticed Pham inside of his residence.
Pham then cut and stabbed the victim after a brief tussle. When the dog attempted to assist the homeowner, Pham cut the dog, as well.
Subsequent to the victim’s wife calling authorities, Pham fled the home. The couple’s children were in the home when the incident occurred, and they witnessed what had transpired.
Police found Pham in a creek close by and apprehended him.
The victim and the dog survived the attack.
