A New Jersey man has been sentenced to ten years in prison for the 2018 killing of his 4 month old son.
Jose Rojas was convicted for the 2018 murder of his 4 month old son and sentenced to 10 years in prison with an additional three years of supervised parole following his release.
On January 29,2018 officers were called to a residence on the 600 block of Hoover Drive.
Upon arrival they found Rojas along with three other children and an unconscious infant.
Rojas told officers that the infant had rolled off a bed that was about 2 feet off the ground.
However, the child’s injuries were more consistent with those sustained in a fall from 30 feet.
The child also suffered severe hemorrhaging in both eyes, which were too many to count.
Doctors said the pattern of hemorrhages was consistent with severe trauma, specifically abusive head trauma.”
The infant was hospitalized and died on February 4,2018.
