Man Receives Life Sentence Following Five Aggravated Robberies & Two Murders In Duncanville And Cedar Hill

After being a part of five aggravated robberies and two killings, Garrett Shay Hamilton was given a life sentence in prison and 25 years, on January 23, 2024, after pleading guilty.

On Nov. 2, 2022, authorities in Duncanville, Texas, responded to a call of an aggravated robbery at a Wells Fargo ATM.  As they were investigating, they learned that the suspect had purchased items at a Walmart with the victim’s credit card. After obtaining an image of the suspect from Walmart, Hamilton was identified.

As police searched for Hamilton, they found that he had committed two aggravated robberies and a killing in Cedar Hill that same day. In addition to that, a week before, he had committed two aggravated robberies and another killing.

A few days later, Hamilton was found and apprehended for the Duncanville warrant. Eventually, he was charged with five robberies and two murders.
