A Pennsylvania man lost his dad and son 36 hours apart, from COVID-19.

Alan Collins Jr., a restaurant owner, is grieving the loss of his dad, Alan Collins Sr. who died September 28. His son, Alan David Brown Sr., passed away the next day. The latter was a 35 year-old, married father of four.

Although his father and son didn’t reside in the same home, they both became ill at the same time.

Collins also said that his 72 year-old father was in good health and had even been vaccinated and had a third shot. However,  he had received a kidney transplant a few years ago.

When he arrived home after his father died, he received a call that his son was headed to the hospital. Alan David had still been undecided about getting the vaccine. He had to be put on a ventilator before he passed away.

A GoFundMe campaign has been created to assist the family with the funeral expenses.
