On Facebook Marketplace, a man decided to sell a catalytic converter. The only problem was that there was a big bag of methamphetamine and a syringe on the table in the background of the photo.
The police were notified by a citizen. When authorities went the man’s residence, they found a gun, as well.
“Today we arrived at this gentleman’s s house with a search warrant. You can imagine his surprise! He still had 48 grams of meth and a pistol that he is forbidden to own! We have now provided him with a new place to stay. Sorry folks, his catalytic converters are not for sale right now. Take note, if you are selling items on social media, make sure your drugs are not in the background,” a Stone County sheriff stated on-line.
James Anthony Kertz was detained and is being held with no bail. The 38 year-old has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and probation/parole violation.
