A gunman in Navarro County went on a shooting rampage and killed four of his relatives, including a minor. He then killed himself early Saturday.
Corsicana law enforcement officials stated that the first shooting happened overnight on W. Second Ave. in Corsicana. A man and a woman were found dead.
Later on, Navarro County Sheriff’s officers learned of another shooting. This was at a residence in Frost, 20 miles away from Corsicana. There, a man and child were found fatally shot.
Two other people in Corsicana and one other person in Frost were injured in the shootings. All three were transported to a trauma center, in Dallas, for treatment.
Using GPS, the suspect’s car was located, traveling down a county road. Authorities had arranged to cut off the engine through a vehicle monitoring service.
Then, police approached the car after it stopped on the road. They discovered the suspect with a seemingly self-inflicted gunshot injury to the head. He was pronounced deceased at a hospital a little while later.
The name of the suspect was Kevin Milazzo,41, and the victims were William “Bill” Mimms,68, the suspect’s stepfather, Connie Mimms,61, the suspect’s mother, Joshua Milazzo,21, the suspect’s son and Hunter Freeman, 4, the son of suspect’s former girlfriend.
An investigation into the murders are on-going.
