A man is dead after an early morning shooting in Garland.
Officers responded to a shooting call on the 100 block of Lake Drive and when officers arrived they found a male suffering from a gunshot wound in a shopping center directly south of the original location on the 1500 block of South First Street.
Emergency crews transported the male to Presbyterian of Dallas, where he was pronounced deceased.
Detectives believe several subjects arrived at the house on Lake wanting to fight the residents when the homeowner Mariano Nano Castillo,43 produced a handgun and shot the victim.
Castillo was arrested at the scene and is currently in the Garland Jail charged with murder and no bond.
The victims name has not been released at this time.
This investigation is ongoing.
