A man was ejected from his car and killed Sunday morning when his vehicle was struck by a car racing another car in Pleasant Grove.
Kendrick Lyons,45 was at a stop sign when his vehicle was struck by a black 2010 Chevy Camaro that was racing a gray 2016 Chevy Camaro.
Lyons was driving a 2017 Nissan Sentra that went spinning out of control and ejected Lyons from the vehicle causing him to go across three lanes and land in a front yard.
The car continued to spin before finally stopping and catching fire on the 500 block of S. Masters Dr.
The driver of the 2010 Camaro was identified as a 23 year old Hispanic male and was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the 2016 Camaro stopped at the scene and was identified as Alejandro Valdez,27.
Both drivers of the Camaro’s were charged with racing cause of death.
