Man Killed After Trying To Attack Judge In Courthouse

On September 10, Christopher Thomas Vaughan, from North Carolina, went crazy inside the Person County Courthouse.

After being found guilty of false imprisonment, he started screaming and flipping over a chair. He then proceeded to head in the judge’s direction.

As he headed that way, he attempted to take a weapon off of one of the bailiffs, tussling with two officers.

Then, a Roxboro, NC, police officer shot Vaughan in the head. He was transported to Duke University Hospital where he died from his wound.

One officer experienced a hand injury while another had wounds in his neck and head. They were treated and let go from the hospital.

Vaughan was in trouble for attempting to  coerce a woman from Walmart.
