A Collin County, Texas, jury has handed down an indictment in the matter of a 55-year-old man from Melissa.
In September 2022, two women had been finishing up student-teacher internships. They had rented rooms across from each other on the second floor of a married couple’s residence.
One of the students had a spouse who had come to visit and noticed a camera stashed on a shelf. As they moved belongings from the room to their car, they saw that the camera had been taken down.
On October 14, 2022, the renter and her spouse filed a complaint with the Melissa Police.
When questioned, the homeowner told authorities that he purchased the camera on Amazon. He also said that he had looked at the feed on at least 15 different occasions. The man disclosed that he saw the woman naked at least 5 times and admitted that he placed cameras in both of the women’s room. This was because he liked the way that they looked.
The man revealed to officers the application that he used to review the recordings. It showed more than 11 hours of battery usage for the preceding 10 days.
“In time, I hope you can forgive me. I will be spending the rest of my life trying to get back on the narrow path with the help of counseling and the Lord. I will do my best,” the homeowner wrote in an apology letter.
On October 17, 2022, the man had been arrested, and he was indicted on June 8. He has been charged with invasive visual recording which is a state felony. If he is found guilty, he could be sentenced to two years in state prison and a $1,000 fine.
Always bring up God when you get caught. 🙄

Very strange that they did not give his name considering what he did. This is probably not the first time this has happened this is just the first time he got caught.
That’s not nearly enough time for invading these women’s privacy!!
