An investigation is underway after a man was found shot to death in a Dallas parking lot.
On May 19, just before 3 a.m., officers responded to a shooting call on the 2000 block of W. Northwest Highway. Upon arriving they found the victim, 34 year old Jamal Cooksey laying in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound.
Dallas Fire & Rescue transported Cooksey to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities are working to determine a motive for the shooting and are searching for a suspect.
This investigation remains ongoing.
