A man shot and killed by Desoto police earlier this week has been identified as Michael Nunez, a DISD school teacher.
Nunez,47 was shot and killed by Desoto police when they responded to a burglary call on the 300 block of Polk Street.
Upon arrival officers spotted Nunez outside the home armed with an unknown object. When they asked him to drop the object he began to approach them.
One of the officers opened fire striking and killing Nunez.
Nunez was later identified as a DISD teacher at Moisés E. Molina high school.
