Maricus “Bezo” Barnes said that he found a lottery ticket while doing his laundry and almost threw it away.
Later, he found out that the ticket was a $387,450 winner.
Barnes told Virginia Lottery officials that he had purchased the Cash 5 with EZ Match ticket on October 23, at a 7-11 store in Hampton. However, he forgot all about it until he saw it again while washing his clothes.
“I was about to throw it away,” Barnes remembered. “But then I decided to check it because it might be worth a few bucks.”
The numbers were 6-18-20-22-24 and was a jackpot winner.
Barnes hasn’t disclosed how he plans to use the funds.
