A man has died after being teased by Frisco police during a suspected fraud case last month.

Frisco Police Department responded to a report of a man using fraudulent identification to purchase a vehicle in the 9600 block of SH121 on September 14th.

FPD attempted to detain the suspect, however, he ran away and a foot pursuit was initiated. Officers followed the man into a parking garage and gave commands for him to stop. With the suspect not complying, officers gave verbal warnings that they would use their tasers.

The first officer deployed his taser which made contact but did not successfully stop the man. A second officer deployed his taser as well which caused the suspect to fall and hit his head.

He was then sat up-right and handcuffed while officers waited for an ambulance to arrive.

The man was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

He was pronounced deceased on September 29.
