Man Charged with Roommate’s Murder After Thanksgiving Dinner Dispute Turns Deadly

A man in Massachusetts is facing charges for allegedly killing his 80-year-old roommate during a dispute over Thanksgiving dinner.

Richard Lombardi, 65, has been accused of murdering his roommate Frank Griswold and has pleaded not guilty.Lombardi claims he was preparing the Thanksgiving meal on Wednesday afternoon when Griswold walked into the kitchen. He states that Griswold, who often sneezed, had previously requested that Lombardi keep out of the kitchen, but he entered nonetheless.

Officials report that Lombardi pushed Griswold, causing him to fall and hit his head, which resulted in a cut on his forehead and a broken neck.

Lombardi called 911, and Griswold was transported to South Shore Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Lombardi is charged with involuntary manslaughter and assault and battery against a person over 60 years old. He is currently being held without bail.
