27 years ago, Rapper Tupac Shakur was killed, and now a major break in the case has occurred.

Early Friday morning, Duane Keith “Keffe D,” Davis was apprehended by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. He has been charged with one count of open murder with the use of a deadly weapon with a gang enhancement.

Davis’s name was already known to authorities in connection to Tupac’s killing because he confessed in interviews and in his book, “Compton Street Legend,” that he was in the Cadillac from which the bullets came from that killed Tupac.

Keffe D is an ex-crip and says he is the uncle of the late Orlando Anderson who had been suspected to be the shooter, according to the streets.

Orlando is also the individual said to have been in a fight with Tupac and his team inside of the MGM Grand, following the Mike Tyson fight, just prior to the deadly shooting happening off of the Las Vegas strip.

Back in July, authorities had gone to the residence of Keffe D’s wife, executing a search warrant and taking several items from the home. That includes cell phones, a hard drive, .40 caliber bullets, and more.
