
Fort Worth police have apprehended a suspect in connection with the shooting death of a man during a dispute.
Authorities responded to a report of gunfire in the 2200 block of East Lancaster around 5:40 p.m. on Thursday. Upon arrival, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
During their investigation, officials identified 53-year-old Sheldon Johnson as the person responsible for the deadly shooting.
Officers then proceeded to Johnson’s home in Haltom City, where Fort Worth police took him into custody.
Johnson has been charged with murder and was booked into the Tarrant County jail on March 2, with his bond set at $300,000.
The victim has been named by the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office as 43-year-old Sean Tarron Allen.
