Hunter William Locke-Huges, 20, was in court Friday for the death of 6-year-old Terrance Adams. He was arraigned on several charges including homicide felony murder.
On December of 2021, Clinton Township Police responded to the Fern Hill Manor condominium complex for a child-death investigation.
After months of investigation, detectives submitted a warrant request to the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office on Thursday. Prosecutors then authorized the charges against Huges.
Huges is accused of holding the little boy under water in the bath tub, drowning him, resulting in his death.
Terrance was partially blind and had a heart defect.
In court the defendant’s attorney requested a bond for his client. He noted that Huges has no prior record.
The judge set the bond at $1 million cash surety only. If bond is posted, Huges will be on house arrest and wear an ankle monitor.
A probable cause conference is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. April 19th, 2022.
