Man Believed To Be Dead In Arkansas River Was Just Sleeping

A dead body was said to have been in the Arkansas River.

When emergency rescue teams went to retrieve it, they found out that the man wasn’t dead at all. In fact, he was just enjoying a nice summer day of relaxation and a quick nap on the water.

A recording posted by the Tulsa Fire Department, on August 18, depicts a man fully dressed, laid back in the shallow part of the river. The man sits up as he sees the rescuers kayaking close to him.

Authorities have now requested that people in Tulsa find a different location to get some rest.

“The river is low, but is still potentially dangerous in areas. Please stay safe and find alternate ways to stay cool,” a statement from the fire department said.
