An argument between a former boyfriend and an ex fiancée leave one dead and the other in jail.
On April 9, 2024 Mansfield police responded to a shooting call on Monticello Drive, just before 9 p.m. Upon arrival they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was transported to Mansfield Methodist Hospital where he later died from his injuries.
While investigating officers learned that 38 year old Steven Shane Foster was responsible for the fatal shooting. He was arrested around 11 p.m. at a residence in Midlothian.
Foster is being charged with murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and tampering with evidence.
According to reports this was a domestic dispute, which evolved between an ex-fiancé and an ex-boyfriend of the female resident.
