Man Arrested Twice In One Day For Driving Drunk With A Child

Sandusky, Ohio police arrested a man twice in one day for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

According to police the officers stopped the man twice in less than a four hour time frame.

The first incident happened at 12:30 p.m. when officers were called to Jaycee Park North regarding an intoxicated man with a child.

When officers arrived they found 38 year old Tyson Conway backing out of a parking spot. They conducted a traffic stop and noticed a woman and young child inside the vehicle.

While officers were speaking with Conway they noticed a strong smell of alcohol. They also noticed his eyes were bloodshot red and glassy.

Conway was arrested for OVI and endangering a child. While in custody Conway agreed to a breathalyzer and when the results came back he was more than two times over the legal limit.

His license was suspended and he was released to a sober person.

Less than four hours later officers were called to an apartment complex on the 1800 block of Remington Avenue. When they arrived they were told that Conway had taken their child.

When officers spotted Conway about two miles away from the scene on Meigs Street.

Authorizes said Conway still appeared to be intoxicated and could barley stand straight.

He was arrested for a second time and his vehicle was towed from the scene.

A woman that was previously in the car with Conway was also charged with child endangerment because she allowed them to get in the car with Conway.
