A man in Henderson County was arrested Tuesday morning in a church parking lot. His car, loaded with three safes full of methamphetamine packaged for distribution.
Ryan David Woods, 32, and his wife were hanging out in their car, parked at a Church on Old Tyler Highway after 2 a.m. Deputy Jonathan Barrios approached the suspicious vehicle and could smell marijuana immediately.
Woods and his wife said the smell was because they smoked marijuana earlier in the day. Deputy Barrios then conducted a search of the vehicle and saw the safes in the backseat.
Inside the safes he found meth ready for distribution, scales, syringes, and other paraphernalia.
Woods was taken to the Henderson County Jail and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
