A person was injured last Saturday after 64-year-old Doll McLendon began shooting inside of a Taco Bell in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The incident occurred at about 9:30 p.m. on Albemarle Road.

Authorities say that when they arrived on scene, they found an employee that had been shot several times.

Witnesses reported that McLendon had gotten upset after ordering through the drive-thru and believing that he was given the wrong amount of change. He then went inside the fast-food restaurant, became more belligerent, and started shooting prior to leaving the scene.

The employee was transported to a medical facility with life-threatening wounds.

McLendon was later discovered at an apartment complex where he was taken into custody.

He has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury, and discharging a weapon into occupied property.

An investigation is on-going.
