Man Arrested After Robbing Store While Wearing Clown Mask And Holding Samurai Sword

39-year-old William Clancy has been named as the man who robbed a convenience store, on October 13, as he wore a clown mask and displayed a samurai sword.

On Saturday, October 23, he was apprehended after authorities received a tip.

Clancy is accused of forcing workers to open the register and emptying the till. He then fled to the wooded area at the rear of the building and left the scene.

Clancy, from Albrightsville, PA, is facing charges of robbery, reckless endangerment, simple assault, theft, receiving stolen property, and possession of instruments of a crime.

He is in custody at the Monroe County Correctional Facility after not posting a $75,000 bail.

He is set to appear in court again on Nov. 4.
