Man Arrested After He Allegedly Robbed A Store Clerk With A Tree Branch

A man was arrested in Shreveport after he allegedly committed a robbery with a tree branch.

It was said that on December 6 around 8:20 a.m., officers responded to a convenience store on the 600 block of E 70th Street where a man said he had been robbed with a tree branch.

Upon arrival they found a man suffering from multiple lacerations to his body.

While investigating officers learned that the suspect 33 year old Willie Mandigo, walked into the convenience store attacked the clerk and took his keys.

A bystander who witnessed the incident was able to help the victim recover his keys. The suspect fled the scene but was later arrested.

He was charged with one count of robbery and booked into the Shreveport City Jail.
