A man was arrested late Tuesday night at a Dart maintenance facility.
Dallas officers were called to the 1200 block of E. Jefferson Blvd by DART police shortly after 10pm.

When officers arrived they saw a suspicious male in the parking lot, pouring what appeared to be lighter fluid around an employees vehicle.
The man then made entry into the employees vehicle.

DART officers attempted to make contact with the suspect but he was not responding to verbal commands.
Shortly after the owner of the vehicle arrived and notified officers that there was a gun inside the vehicle.

By that time SWAT and Air1 had been called out to assist.
The suspect found the weapon inside the vehicle and eventually got out with it in his hands and started running towards police.

At that time a Dallas officer asked the suspect to drop his weapon and when he didn’t another officer opened fire.

The suspect and officers were not injured.
The man was arrested and taken into custody.
