Just before being put to death in Mississippi for murdering his estranged wife, David Cox, 50, admitted to one other murder.

Cox reportedly disclosed to his lawyer that he had killed his sister-in-law, 40 year-old Felecia Cox, in 2007. He provided information about where her body could be found before he was executed on November 17. He had been a suspect in that case for years.

The state’s Office of Capital Post-Conviction counsel stated, in a press release on Monday, that Cox “felt deep remorse and wanted to bring closure” to the relatives of Felecia Cox.

If the woman’s remains are found, investigators will start recovery efforts.

Felecia Cox was last seen in a July 2007 visit to Kim Cox’s home. Kim was married to David at that time and was killed by him in May 2010. David Cox plead guilty to fatally shooting his wife and sexually assaulting her 12 year-old daughter as she died. He was sentenced to death.

The new details were handed over to the district attorney’s office two days after Cox’s execution.
