A 41 year old Fresno man has been charged with the murder of his pregnant sister and her unborn child.

Around 12:30 p.m. officers and Fresno Fire Department responded to a call on the 4400 block of North Cornelia Avenue. Upon arrival they located the female victim 26 year old N-Kya Logan on a dirt road.

Logan appeared to have multiple stab wounds and was severely burned. She was also 8 months pregnant and had just recently had a baby shower.

A neighbor said they saw a suspicious person pushing a trash bin to a dirt road and then setting it on fire.

After further investigating detectives were able to obtain surveillance footage in the area showing the suspect 41 year old Aaron Dudley pushing the trash bin and setting it on fire.

They also obtained a search warrant for the home that Logan shared with her mother and brother, Dudley.

Once inside they found evidence that Dudley had stabbed Logan with a sharp object multiple times before taking her body outside and burning it.

Dudley was arrested and booked into Fresno County jail on two murder charges.

Police are still unclear about what led to the fatal stabbing.
