Man Accused Of Killing His Girlfriend And Leaving Her Deceased Body Under A Pile Of Clothes On His Balcony
An Ohio man has been charged with his girlfriends murder after her body was found decomposed on his apartment balcony by a housecleaner.
Bennie Washington,39 was evicted from his apartment on the 4300 block of Warner Rd on March 11.
On Thursday, a housecleaner contacted police after finding Audreona Barnes,19 deceased body under a pile of clothes on the balcony.
Barnes was reported missing by family on July 30, 2021. An army recruiting officer told police they dropped her off at Washington’s apartment the same day she went missing.
When officers searched Washington’s old apartment they found a bullet hole in the wall and shell casings near Barnes body.
Washington was spotted by police on Friday and arrested.
On Monday March 21, Washington was charged with aggravated murder and gross abuse of a corpse.
Washington also has prior felony convictions, including a 2010 case in which he shot and wounded a woman in the back over a $40 cocaine debt. He served 7 years in prison for that case.
