20-year-old Cameron Hopkins, the man who is said to have abducted and killed his former girlfriend Monday morning, committed another abduction last year.

Records show that Hopkins was out of jail, in Clayton County, Georgia, on bond, in September, in that case. The victim in both matters was his former girlfriend, Khaliyah Jones, 19.

In the occurrence that happened last year in a Walmart parking lot, Hopkins was observed walking up to a car with a gun, shattering the window, taking Jones out of the car, and putting her into his car.

He then called relatives to say that he was angry that the two were breaking up. He warned that he would kill Jones if police tried to pull him over.

That matter is still pending as Hopkins was charged with terroristic threats, kidnapping, and aggravated assault. He was supposed to be arraigned in June, but he waived the arraignment and entered a plea of not guilty.

Hopkins is now said to have taken Jones from her place of employment at a Wingstop in the city of Fayetteville on Sunday evening. He led police on a pursuit to a high school where he fired his gun in and out of the vehicle while police moved in on him.

Jones was discovered in the vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds, and she died from her injuries.

Hopkins now faces additional charges of kidnapping, aggravated assault, malice murder, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime.
