Maine Toddler Shoots Parents With Gun Found On Nightstand

Bullets rang out inside a Maine home leaving a mother and father, alone with their 2-year-old toddler with injuries Wednesday Morning.
The toddler opened fire on his parents with a handgun that was left out on the parents nightstand.
The mother was shot in the leg. The toddler shot the father in the head. The toddler was injured when the gun backfired and he was struck in the face.
Thankfully, none of the injuries were reported life-threatening.
The parents also had a newborn in the room during the incident. However, the newborn was not injured by any gunfire.
According to police officials, the toddler is now in the custody of the grandmother.
