Louisville Officer Involved In Breonna Taylor Death Terminated

One of three Louisville police officers involved in the Breonna Taylor case was terminated Tuesday.
Breonna Taylor,26 a black EMT, was inside her apartment on March 13 when Brett Hankison and two other officers used a no knock warrant to enter her apartment during a drug sting and shot her more than 8 times.

Hankison and the other two officers were placed on administrative leave at the time.
Chief Robert Schroeder said whirl investigating he believes Hankison violated department rules, procedures and deadly force standards.
Louisville officers went inside her home when they believed a man they were looking for Jamarcus Glover, who was already in custody was inside.
Taylor and Kenneth Walker,27 believe their apartment was being broken into so he called police and opened fire striking one of the officers in the leg.
No drugs were found inside the home and walker had a license to carry his weapon.
Walker was charged with assault and attempted murder on a police officer.
Taylor’s family has since filed a lawsuit against the department and are looking to file charges against the officer since his termination.
