On Monday morning, a Queens, New York, immigration attorney was killed by an upset woman. The woman was said to be angry because the lawyer wouldn’t take her case.
Xiaoning Zhang, 25, is accused of stabbing Jim Li, 66, at his office, close to 11:45 a.m.
Li was transported to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Zhang has been charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon, authorities say. Two knives were found at the scene.
A colleague of Li’s said that the lawyer declined to represent Zhang last week. Officers had come to the location, then, and escorted the woman away. Li had told them that he didn’t want to press charges.
“He treats his clients very well, very nice,” a friend stated.
While he studied to become a lawyer, Li participated in the Tiananmen Square protests in China before coming to the U.S. He was put in prison for close to a year-and-a-half, in China, before he left.
“He’s one of the best men. I will miss him. I lost my friend…,” the man continued.
You actually make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this
matter to be actually something which I think I would never understand.
It seems too complex and extremely broad for me.
I’m looking forward for your next post, I’ll try to get the hang of
it!
