Arnoldo Lozano-Sanchez, 78, is said to have had a disagreement with tenants because they hadn’t paid rent. He is now charged with 2 counts of murder and attempted murder.
Gunshots were heard near the Strat Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. When police approached, they observed a woman shot in the driveway. She didn’t survive.
A few minutes later, a male came out the home who was also wounded by gunfire. He survived.
After negotiating with authorities, the man surrendered a little while later.
Subsequent to going in the home, police found another woman dead inside.
A witness said that the landlord was upset about the unpaid rent and instead of an eviction, he said he would handle it himself. The boyfriend of one of the victims said that the man was smiling and laughing after the killings.
Sanchez asked for an attorney and would not cooperate with police.
