Lancaster Couple Arrested For Stealing Over $1 Million In Property From A Deceased DISD Teacher

A Lancaster couple was arrested a couple of weeks ago after investigators learned they fraudulently transferred nine property deeds worth more than one million dollars to themselves and one other person that belonged to the estate of a former Dallas teacher.

According to court documents Belinda and Anthony Tucker both face a charge of theft of property worth more than $300,000.

In February of 2021 Arnold Young passed away at age 82.

Young was a very well known and respected English teacher for DISD. He also was a co owner for Lott’s Mortuary.
Young left his family members nine properties across the DFW area, which were worth more than $1 million dollars collectively.

Attorney Alisha Melvin is now representing Young’s estate after she learned that the tenants did not pay rent and Young’s estate pursued an eviction.

During that time Melvin learned that her client no longer owned the properties.

The property deed documents showed the property had been transferred to the tenant living there with the help of the Tuckers and one of their companies called “Mutal Freedom.”

Melvin said she got suspicious and checked with the county to learn that he no longer owned his other 8 properties.
Melvin said, “They all had the exact same deed, the exact same language, and they were notarized by Belinda Tucker herself.”

Lancaster police were notified and when Belinda was approached by authorities she told them Young had signed over his properties to her, prior to his death. She also said he had shown her his original will stating that he would give her his homes.

When asked to see more evidence she told them that she recently lost her notary book.

Belinda was shot four times back in August by a neighbor for unpaid HOA dues.
