The Los Angeles County sheriff and fire chief will have to respond to questions about photographs taken by emergency crews. This was done at the location where Kobe Bryant, Gianna Bryant, and seven others crashed in a helicopter.
Vanessa Bryant discussed learning about the pictures that were captured at the horrible scene, in court.
Judge Charles Eick ruled that Sheriff Alex Villanueva and County Fire Chief Daryl Osby must give pre-trial testimony. The judge stated that these individuals could provide information about the case that other people can’t. He also said that the men could only testify for fours so that it doesn’t interrupt their responsibilities at work.
Prior to this, Villanueva had confessed that 8 deputies had taken pictures and one of them showed them off at a bar. Bryant told authorities that Villanueva told her that no photos would be leaked. and that he forced the men to delete the images.
