Kyle Rittenhouse Planning To Sue The Media For ‘Lies’

On November 19, Kyle Rittenhouse was found not guilty of all charges after fatally shooting two men and wounding another in Kenosha, WI.

Rittenhouse had faced homicide, attempted homicide, and reckless endangerment charges. This was in regards to the deaths of Joseph Rosenbaum, 36, and Anthony Huber, 26, and harming Gaige Grosskreutz, 27.

Many in the country were divided about Rittenhouse’s claim that he acted in self-defense. However, prosecutors said that he was a proponent of violence, stating that he started the chaotic scene by displaying a rifle at a protest.

Rittenhouse could’ve gotten life in prison for the first-degree murder of Huber, but he was acquitted.

Now, Rittenhouse has decided to sue news organizations and others in the media.

“Me and my team have decided to launch The Media Accountability Project. This is a tool to fundraise and hold the media accountable for the lies they said and deal with them in court,” Rittenhouse stated.

He added that a few people that he is holding accountable include politicians, athletes, and celebrities, including Whoopi Goldberg.

“She called me a murderer after I was acquitted by a jury of my peers,” Rittenhouse expressed in an interview.

A lawyer noted that unless he was called a ‘convicted murderer’ then, he shouldn’t have case.

“To my knowledge, you can be a murderer factually, even if you’re legally acquitted. An acquittal doesn’t really change that one murdered another,” the attorney added.
