Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department was working with a dog that hinted that drugs were inside of a truck that was filled with tomatoes. Then, $10.5 million worth of cocaine was discovered, authorities say.
Around 2:30 a.m., on Friday, police say that they pulled over a truck that was driving recklessly.
“The nervous driver had a story that didn’t add up,” the department said on a Facebook post.
That’s when K-9 Officer Nuggetz was called to the scene and alerted officials about the drugs. Then, 230 pounds of narcotics were discovered inside of the truckload of tomatoes.
Nanak Singh and Chandra Prakash were apprehended for trafficking a controlled substance.
At the same time, Nuggetz is being praised on social media.
“I hope you get extra doggie treats for a job well done,” one person wrote.
“Good job, Nuggetz! You look great, too,” someone else stated.
