42 pounds of marijuana was discovered in two suitcases at Dallas Love Field Airport on Saturday, authorities say.
K-9 Officer Ballentine confirmed a narcotics smell. Then, the Love Field Interdiction Squad “intercepted” two pieces of luggage containing the marijuana.
The suitcases originally came from San Jose, California, and they were headed to New Orleans.
“Due to Canine Ballentine’s great training, in detecting all types of narcotics, a search warrant was obtained by the Love Field Interdiction Squad,” officers said in a statement.
No one has been apprehended in the matter.
