Judge Judy will be returning on tv with a new IMDb TV show, “Judge Justice.”
However, the long-time bailiff of the “Judge Judy,” show, Petri Hawkins-Byrd, will not be featured on the new production.
Byrd had worked next to the Judge, 78, since 1996.
He recently expressed his feelings. “My assumption is… that you were going to at least ask me if I wanted to have the opportunity to audition for the role.”
Byrd stated that he first learned about “Judy Justice, ” when she brought it up in March 2020. At the time, he was dealing with his wife’s health issues and hadn’t had time to discuss it with the Judge.
She did end up talking with Byrd. She informed him that he wouldn’t be coming along on the new show, citing that his salary might have been too high for the budget.
Although he still quite doesn’t understand not being asked about the opportunity, he is moving on to other TV appearances.
