Judge Clay Jenkins: “No More ICU Beds For Children”

Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins has said there are “zero icu beds left for children,” in the county.

“That means that if your child has a car wreck..has congenital heart failure..has COVID and need an icu bed, we don’t have one,” he stated.

The Texas Department of State Health Services has noted that the problem is connected to limited amounts of hospital staff.

At the beginning of the week, Governor Greg Abbott said 2,500 medical workers will be sent to hospitals around the state to assist in the surge of COVID-19 patients.

There are more than 112,000 people infected with the virus and in the hospital in Texas. Throughout the state, there are only 323 icu beds remaining.

Jenkins has sued Abbott over his executive order that no government agency or school district can require people to wear mask. He is outraged that it was put in place amid the rise in cases.
