Johnny Brown, 84, has passed away. He was most infamous for his role on the hit show “Good Times” where he played the character Nathan Bookman.

His family expressed their sorrow on a social media post, stating that he was “snatched from their lives.”

His daughter, Broadway actress Sharon Catherine Brown, posted a picture of her father on her Instagram page. She wrote, “Our family is devastated. Devastated. Beyond heartbroken. Barely able to breathe.”

She continued, “This is my mom’s husband for sixty-one-years. Mine and JJ’s dad, Elijah and Levi’s Pop Pop…”

“It’s a shock. He was literally snatched out of our lives. It’s not real for us yet. So there will be more to say but not now. Dad was the absolute best. We love him so very much,” she wrote.

Brown was said to have collapsed after leaving the doctor’s office to have his pacemaker checked out in L.A.

Johnny Brown was an actor, comic, and singer.
