YouTuber Tanaka Natsuki was filming a video when she saw emergency services scrambling up the coast of Hachinohe. They were rushing to rescue a ‘drowning woman’  in the sea but were surprised to retrieve a rubber sex doll.

‘While I was filming for my fishing video, I thought that a corpse had come floating by. It turned out to be a Dutch wife,” a doll.
It seems someone misunderstood what it was… a ton of police, fire trucks, and ambulances showed up.”

Approximately 2,000 sex dolls which cost from $6,000 are sold annually in Japan.

Dutch Wives have to be discarded properly; however, there are services for those who have a special connection with them. Japanese monk and actress Rei Kato performs funeral services for the old dolls. She stated that some owners are scared of being shamed for throwing the dolls away in trash bins.
