Jada Pinkett Smith Announces She And Will Smith Have Been Separated For More Than Seven Years, Not Ready To Divorce

Jada Pinkett Smith has revealed that she and Will Smith haven’t been together for more than seven years. Thus, they have only been appearing as husband and wife for public showcases.

While promoting her new book, “Worthy,” on the “Today” show, Pinkett Smith stated that she and Will live separately.

“I made a promise that there will never be a reason for us to get a divorce. We will work through whatever. And I just haven’t been able to break that promise,” she added.

Pinkett Smith stated that the pair actually separated in 2016 after becoming weary of trying to make their marriage work. She says that the pair hadn’t publicly announced their separation because they weren’t ready to do so and didn’t know where they relationship really stood.

Pinkett Smith has admitted that the relationship is complicated, and the two are still attempting to figure things out.

“We’ve been doing some heavy-duty work together. We just got deep love for each other, and we are going to figure out what that looks like for us,” she expressed.

Will and Jada wed in 1997 and have two children together, 25-year-old Jaden and 22-year-old Willow. Will also has another son, 30-year-old Trey, with his former wife, Sheree Zampino.
