An Isanti woman was found buried on a farm property owned by a man she was last seen with.
Amanda Jo Vangrinsven, 32, was last seen at the Dugout Bar and Grill in Bethel, Minnesota around 11pm.
When she didn’t report to work the next day, she was reported missing.
Vangrinsven was at the Isanti Veterans of Foreign Wars with Peterson earlier in the day on Aug 5, according to police.
The bartender at the VFW informed police that she had to stop serving Vangrinsven because she was drunk.
The bartender told police that Peterson offered Vangrinsven a ride home.
On Aug 10, investigators discovered a body on the property on the 300 block of 261st Avenue NW in Athens Township.
While officials were searching Peterson’s property, he told the police to check the pond.
Police found a part of the ground that was discolored and spongy.
Upon digging in the dirt, officers found two white shoes.
Richard Melvin Peterson was arrested and booked into the Isanti County Jail.
