Johari Jenkins, 23, has been arrested after shooting into a woman’s home while her children were inside of the residence, in Memphis, Tennessee.

On May 2, authorities responded to a call in the 1100 block of Breedlove, close to 5:30 p.m. A woman had told dispatchers that another woman had shot into her home several times as she and her three children were in there.

The children said that the suspect, Jenkins, shot the gun once into the ground, while saying, “I hope I hit one of them little b******.”

Jenkins is then accused of shooting into a living room window, four or five times.

A witness told police that she also saw Jenkins throwing a glass bottle at her neighbor’s car, breaking the window. To add, she kicked out the back window. The witness stated that she heard Jenkins say, “…I already got a charge on me. I might as well get another one today by killing you and your kids, b****.”

Later, Jenkins was identified as the assailant in a six-person lineup. She has been charged with several counts of criminal attempt first-degree murder and aggravated assault.

The motive for the shooting is unknown.
